Professional Opportunity: Librarian

This will be a full-time permanent appointment beginning in summer 2010.

Responsibilities: 
Responsibilities for the position include both the day-to-day and long-term operations of the Callaway Library, including management of the digital and print collections and research and reference support for faculty and students.  

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in library and information studies, along with experience at the secondary or college level.  Important personal qualities include a sense of humor, flexibility, organizational ability, energy, collegiality, and the ability to work as a collaborative member of a team.

Minimum educational requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.  Master’s degree (MLS or MLIS) preferred.

Compensation:
Based on experience and education. In addition, St. Mary’s offers fully-paid employee health and dental plans, disability and life insurance, and contributes to a 403(b) plan.
