Attention Skiers and Snowboarders!! Registration forms and information packets for the Mt. Ashland After-School Ski and Snowboard Program are now available in the St. Mary’s front office. Participants in this popular program spend five Fridays at Mt. Ashland enjoying some of the best downhill skiing and snowboard riding our local area has to offer. Lift passes, bus transportation, hour-long lessons with the Mt. Ashland Ski/Snowboard School, and discount equipment rental rates are all part of the package.
The dates for the program are January 11, 18, 25, February 1 and 8. On most Fridays, skiers and snowboarders will leave from the St. Mary's School parking lot right after school, returning to St. Mary’s at 10:30 p.m. For Ashland families, there will be a return stop in Ashland at the Market of Choice parking lot at 10 p.m. On Friday, January 25, St. Mary’s School is closed for in-service. On that Friday only, those bound for the mountain will board the bus at 9:00 a.m. and return to the school at 7 p.m. The bus will be making both a pick-up stop as well as a drop-off stop in Ashland on that day.
Through the generosity of donors to the Mt. Ashland Give-A-Kid-a-Lift Scholarship Fund, financial aid is available for those families who are unable to afford the full cost of student participation in the program. A financial aid/scholarship application is included in the After-school Ski and Snowboard Program information packet.
Please mark the following dates on your calendar.
Financial Aid/Scholarship Applications due Friday, December 7.
Completed Registration Packets due Friday, December 21.
