In 2010, Jamie Young took over a Saint Mary’s football program that was coming off an 0-7 season. As Young worked to repair a broken system he was joined in the process by five young men, Glenn Alvarez, Calvin Roberts, Dan Seus, Jake Isola and Dan Leavens.
“You care about all your kids that play for you, but this particular group that has been there the whole time, they’re a special group to me,” said Young. “There’s no doubt about it.”
Now, those five players are seniors and they are starting to reap the benefits of their hard work.
