Dear Members of the School Community:

St. Mary's School is pleased to announce the publication of its 2007-08 Self Study Report for reaccreditation with the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools (PNAIS).

The report represents the culmination of a year-long effort on the part of members of the faculty, staff, administration, parents, and student body to examine virtually every aspect of St. Mary's School's program in order to improve it and meet the rigorous standards of our professional association.  The PNAIS accreditation process is among the most comprehensive in the nation and involves a period of intensive study, the drafting of the self study report, the hosting of a visiting team which will write a report consisting of their observations, commendations, suggestions, and recommendations, and our drafting of a response report.  The successful completion of this process certifies to the broader community, including to post-secondary academic institutions, that St. Mary's School meets the highest standards of independent schools in the Pacific Northwest.  It is a major achievement for the school community.
