Investigate the world of food and nutrition through books.  Participants will be engaged in hands-on exploration and tasting of food while learning about food preparation, cooking and handling through literacy.

Discover the world of Pharaohs and mummies.  Participants will be engaged in activities that explore the daily life of Egyptians.

EEW! SPLAT! YUCK!  If these are some of your favorite sounds, then this is the class for you.  You’ll spend the class making your own slime and flubber.  In addition, you’ll make your own dyes to color a shirt which you’ll get to take with you.  Mix, measure, and pour chemicals to create compounds that will amaze you and your friends.

Get set to explore the depths of space, traveling through the unknown.  We’ll start with the exploration of the sun, where we’ll get a taste of its many layers.  From there, we’ll explore and gather information from the various planets in our solar system.  Finally, we’ll design and build a space station on the moon.

Earthquakes! Volcanoes! Oh My!  In this class, we’ll discover the inner workings that cause some of natures most destructive forces.  During our exploration of the ring of fire, we’ll make exploding volcanoes, seismographs, and try to create buildings able to withstand an earthquake.

Whilst thou be so kind as to join us on a journey? Together, let us enter the realm of the Medieval World, experiencing life with all of its hardships and pleasantries, festivals and battles.

In this course, participants will spend the week exploring the culture, language, and foods of some of the world’s cultures like: China, Mexico, Japan, Italy, and more.

This course combines fiction and non-fiction picture books with science concepts.  Participants will be engaged with hands-on exploration of science concepts like life science, physical science, and earth science while integrating reading in a natural way.
