Alastair Hunter and Frank Phillips are heading to Italy in March of 2018, and they'd like to invite you to come along!

“Italy Before It Was Italy”

Adults Only Trip
March 22 - April 5th, 2018

Medford - Rome - Naples - Catania - Palermo - Medford

We fly into Rome, where we will spend three full days visiting the Vatican City and its museums, the Borghese Gallery, the National Museum’s sites at Palazzo Massimo and Palazzo Altemps, the Roman Forum, and many of the city’s ancient and Renaissance churches.

We will then take a private bus to Naples where we will stay in the center of the city. Over our three full days, we will explore the ancient heart of the city and its world-class archaeological museum, visit Pompeii, and explore the stunning Amalfi coast, which we will view by boat as we cruise between the cities of Amalfi and Salerno. The last phase of the trip sees us in Sicily after catching an overnight ship--private cabins provided-- from Naples to Catania, from where we will explore Mt. Etna and the beautiful, ancient city of Taormina.

From Catania, we will take a private bus to the capital, Palermo--a city home to several world heritage sites. We will explore the city and take a day trip to Monreale, Segesta, and Selinunte. At the first of these we will visit the cathedral, which has more mosaics than any building on Earth; at the last two, we will visit some of the best preserved Greek temples anywhere. We then fly home from Palermo.
