High School: Due to the highly innovative and customizable nature of 2.0 schedules, with no two students' schedules being the same, students should simply come prepared with a notebook, writing utensils and a binder. At the start of each mod, teachers will inform students of any other materials/ supplies needed for that particular mod.
St. Mary's School partners with Follet, an online bookstore for all textbook sales. Please click here to order textbooks.
Please note, if there are no books are shown for a particular class, there are no books needed for that class.
This year, St. Mary's will be offering a morning bus service from Ashland to Medford for $4.12 per day. This service is contingent upon ridership.
Here are the details for the service:
Pick-Up Location: Bi-Mart in Ashland

Orientation sessions for 6th -8th grade
We ask that students and parents in grades 6-8 attend either of two Orientation sessions: Monday, August 20 at 4 p.m., or Tuesday, August 21 at 6 p.m. in the Callaway Library. We will cover the same information at both sessions, and the sessions are not grade-specific—please attend the one that is most convenient for you. Each will last for about an hour.
In addition to touring the Carrico Center (our new Commons and STEM center), we will be talking about the social-emotional learning program called Developmental Designs that we use in Adviser Group (click here to view a brief video on social-emotional learning); the ins-and-outs of our food service; our mobile phone and laptop policies; and of course answer your questions.
Orientation session and move-in for 5th grade
5th grade students and parents should plan to attend a welcome and orientation session with Mrs. Schultz on Tuesday, August 21 at 4 p.m. in room 21. Please watch for more information from her.
All 7th and 8th graders will have a locker in the Middle School area (5th and 6th graders have individual cubbies in their classrooms). Lockers are assigned randomly. 7th and 8th graders can stop by school to get their locker information and move in at these times:
- Monday, August 20: anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m or following the Orientation
- Tuesday, August 21 between 5 and 6 p.m.
6th grade move-in
6th graders can stop by between 3 - 4 p.m. on either Monday, August 20 or Tuesday, August 21 to drop off books and supplies. Mr. Ward and Mr. Pederson will be in touch via e-mail with more information about what to expect during the first few days of school.
Click here to see a list of needed supplies for the year.
Laptop computers for 6th-8th grade
St. Mary’s uses a “Bring Your Own Device” technology model, and 6th-8th grade students are required to bring a laptop computer to school each day. Please click here for more information.
PE clothes for 6th-8th grade
Students in grades 6-8 are required to wear a uniform for PE. If you haven't already purchased a uniform, please take a few moments to order shorts and a shirt through our online vendor. In order to have your clothes by the first day of classes, please place your order as soon as possible. In addition to PE clothes, the online store also features a wide selection of Crusader wear, including sweatshirts and t-shirts. Clothing orders will be delivered at school.
Some orders may not arrive until after classes begin. For students who are waiting for uniforms they need to bring their own clothes (shorts, t-shirt, tennis shoes with soles that won't leave marks on the gym floor). PE teachers will communicate with parents and students once classes start in order to keep them informed on the status of uniforms and deliveries.
First Day of School
Wednesday, August 22 is the first day of classes. The first middle school class will begin at 8:10am and the last class will end at 3:15pm.
High School orientations are class-specific and take place on Tuesday, August 21 at the following times:
9th grade: 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.
10th grade: 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
11th grade: 12:30 - 2:00 p.m.
12th grade: 2:00 - 3:30 p.m.

Picture Day is August 28 and 29
School pictures are taken for all of our students (including seniors). Ordering them for personal purposes is optional. Fliers will be provided on picture day but families are encouraged to place their order online at mylifetouch.com. If pictures were purchased, the picture package must be returned to the photographers on retake day before a student's picture is retaken.
When ordering online, the St. Mary's School Picture Day ID to use is: FO918199Y0 (The second digit is the letter O and the last digit is the number 0).
There are many benefits to ordering online:
• Get more background choices for your student’s school pictures.
• Customize your package with different portrait sheets.
• No need to send cash or flyer back to school
• New MyFamily rewards program available online.
If you have any specific questions about pictures and need to contact Lifetouch, please call them at 541-772-4455.

We advise that all current parents sync the St. Mary's school calendar with their personal calendar. Below are the directions.
On the St. Mary's online calendar,
from the Calendar Feeds window, you can choose what information on the current calendar you wish to send to your outside calendar software:
Click the green "ICAL" button corresponding to the calendar you want to export. You'll see a list of custom iCal feed options allowing you to pick a feed URL that's tailored to the software you want to use. If you don't see your calendar software listed, select "Get Standard iCal URL," otherwise, choose the option that matches the calendar software you use.
Using either method, you'll end up with a URL that can be pasted into your external calendar software. After you have pasted this URL into Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple iCal or other calendar software, the events that you have entered into Finalsite will be displayed there. Any edits you make to your Finalsite calendar will be automatically updated in your external software.
