Meet the Newest Scholars!

St. Mary’s School is proud to announce the newest recipients of the Kids Unlimited Academy/St. Mary’s School Scholarship!
Jionnie Casillas and Valentina Mejia-Medina were selected through a competitive application process. These two exceptional students exemplify the academic excellence, leadership, and personal character that define the KUA/St. Mary’s Scholars program.

The KUA/St. Mary’s Scholars program provides full-tuition scholarships, covering books, fees, and daily lunch, supporting motivated students from Kids Unlimited Academy as they transition to St. Mary’s School. The program is designed to open doors for students with high academic aspirations.
 

Meet the Scholars

Valentina Mejia-Medina 
Valentina joins St. Mary’s with a passion for science and a dream of becoming a marine biologist. Known by her former teachers as a "curious learner" and an "old soul," Valentina is academically gifted and highly motivated. Her enthusiasm for learning was evident during her campus tour, where she share her enthusiasm for the  academic offerings as part of the St. Mary’s Mod schedule. Outside of the classroom, Valentina loves to participate in soccer, basketball, ballet folklórico, and jiu-jitsu.

Jionnie Casillas 
Jionnie brings a powerful competitive spirit and a proven track record of resilience to the St. Mary’s community. Recognized for his strong work ethic and positive attitude, Jionnie is a dedicated student-athlete with a profound love for learning. His commitment to making the most of every opportunity has set him apart as a leader among his peers, and he enters St. Mary’s with clear college aspirations and a drive to succeed.
