OES Recap

Coach Andrew Schleinitz
Congratulations on 2nd Place in the OES Tennis Invitational!! Everything went successful and smooth. Thank you players and families for representing and supporting the team this tournament.

It was a long week for a lot of us. Players, Fantastic job staying positive, staying focused, and making the tournament super enjoyable. The players received numerous compliments, from our OES hosts, on their sportsmanship, talent, and manners. Be very proud of yourselves for establishing a reputation of being gracious guests, and skilled competitors. Keep it up!!

Shout out to Coach Erik Peterson for stepping up, getting certified, and transporting the team safely to OES Friday night. It is a pleasure coaching on  court with you!!

Congratulations Caswell and Henry on your championship at the debut appearance of the OES Tennis Invitational!! Awesome job keeping the energy up all the way to the finish line!! Rippin serves and staying offensive, great job!!

Awesome job Connor and Bao making it to the semi-finals!! Well done getting to the net and finishing points. You guys look like seasoned doubles partners.

Singles players Ben and Luke represented in the main draw, battling their way through tough matches to the semi-finals. Ben, excellent comeback in the quarters against last years' fourth place state tournament finisher. Luke, amazing ball striking and impressive tennis. Great job playing big tennis vs last years' state tournament champion. We got some great take-aways from playing the Roedl brothers from Marist.

Singles players Case and Bennett, way to lock in and battle to the end. Bennett saved several match points in a nail biter match. Way to problem solve, figure out your opponent, and stay calm under pressure points. Case made it to the semis displaying his talents as a singles player. Big serving and great court coverage. Great take-aways from these matches.

Doubles Landus/Lucas and Titus/Sriram all found their way to the semi-finals of the main draw. Landus and Lucas produced an incredibly dramatic match in the quarters. Phenomenal job taking care of business when it mattered and closing out the match at the finish line, so exciting!! Sriram and Titus, when you guys are on, it is impressive to watch. With every match you guys are gaining momentum.
